YAMASHITA EGI-OH LIVE is a "Live" squid jig that has been further improved according to three important guidelines. First of all, lead has been eliminated from the artificial, using a lead free alloy for the metal of the keel (the same modification is also found in the new "Sounds"). This essential part of the egi has also been redesigned to allow an increase in the number of lateral and vertical discards for the same path taken in the recovery. A slightly greater inertia allows in fact a greater number of jerks with more darting movements both vertically and laterally, as we said. Compared to the previous Live model, the launch distance is also increased, while the sinking speed remains the same as before. Another detail that marks a difference with the previous model is the eye that gives off glow radiation at 490 Nm, a value that identifies the light radiation tested as the most attractive for cephalopods. Furthermore, the fabric used to cover the artificial is the famous one that can slow down, compared to traditional fabrics, the dispersion in water of the heat accumulated by the artificial exposed to sunlight. From this “thermal” characteristic derives the name Live that accompanies the names of many series of Yamashita egi and the characteristic Warm Jacket.
