L'ITALCANNA TATAKI SQUID SJ is a fishing rod specifically designed for the Japanese technique of squid fishing called Tataki fishing. This technique uses small silicone lures of various colors, mounted in series on a terminal, which are ""whipped"" in the water.
Italcanna has adapted the equipment used for this technique to the conditions of our seas and common prey. The result is the Tataki Squid SJ, a fishing rod of about 2 meters in length, extremely maneuverable, lightweight, and sensitive.
Thanks to these characteristics, in combination with a spinning reel, it is possible to maintain constant sensitivity on the lures. This is particularly important during the descent to the bottom, when squid attacks often occur. With a sensitive rod like the Tataki Squid SJ, it is possible to perceive these attacks, and thanks to the spinning reel, it is possible to quickly stop the spool with a finger and immediately start the retrieval.
Although the Tataki Squid SJ is optimized for use with a spinning reel, Italcanna also offers it in a version for fixed spool reels, to maximize versatility and adapt to the preferences of every angler.
